Agreement

These Terms govern your use of Shorttales and the other apps and websites made by Shortapps, a small independent app studio. By downloading, accessing, or using our apps, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the apps.

Who can use the apps

Shorttales is made for families. A parent or guardian holds the account and any subscription, and is responsible for supervising a child's use. If you set up the app for a child, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and that you accept these Terms on their behalf.

Your account

You can use Shorttales as an anonymous guest or sign in with Apple. You're responsible for keeping access to your device and Apple ID secure, and for activity that happens through your account.

Subscriptions & billing

Shorttales offers optional paid subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account — we never receive your payment-card details.

• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
• Managing & cancelling: manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for — we don't cut it off early.
• Prices: current plans and prices are shown in the app before you buy and may change over time; any change is shown before it takes effect.
• Refunds: purchases are handled by Apple, so refund requests go through Apple's standard process.

Acceptable use

When using our apps, please don't:

• Copy, redistribute, or resell the stories, artwork, or other content.
• Reverse-engineer, tamper with, or disrupt the apps or their security.
• Use the apps in any unlawful way or to infringe someone else's rights.

Content & intellectual property

The stories, illustrations, names, and design in our apps are owned by Shortapps or its licensors and are protected by law. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use them within the app for your family — it does not transfer ownership.

Affiliate program

If you take part in our affiliate or referral program, additional program terms apply, including how referrals are attributed and how any commissions are earned and paid. We may update or end the program at our discretion.

Disclaimers & liability

Our apps are provided “as is.” We work hard to keep them reliable and safe, but we can't promise they'll always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, Shortapps isn't liable for indirect or incidental losses arising from your use of the apps.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Shortapps operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. (Set the specific jurisdiction here before publishing.)

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as our apps evolve. When we make material changes, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continuing to use the apps after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
